Credit Transfer
Credits will be awarded to those who have successfully completed the programme. Most universities and colleges around the world recognise and accept grades and credits from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). However, students should confirm with their home university as to whether it will accept credits from HKU before they apply.

Assessment

- Attendance and Participation (15%)
- Journal (35%)
- Exam (50%)

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided from June 30 to July 23, 2007 (23 nights). Students will be assigned student dormitories at the Universities of Hong Kong and Macau. All rooms are air-conditioned and well-furnished. Each floor has its own pantry and is equipped with basic cooking facilities. They will also be housed in the International Exchange Centre at the China Foreign Affairs University when in Beijing.

Due to limited number of hall places, the Faculty of Social Sciences will try its best to facilitate those students who wish to extend the hall stay and the request letter should be reach at the Faculty Office before May 30, 2007.


Visa Application

All non-local students are required to obtain a student visa to Hong Kong and /or tourist visa to the Mainland China and Macau. Students from overseas can choose to lodge their student visa application at least two months in advance via the local Chinese Embassy or via the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) of HKU [3/F, Meng Wah Complex, The University of Hong Kong (phone: 2859 2305; Email: cedars@hku.hk)].All applicants should name the CEDARS as the visa sponsor. A cost recovery fee is charged for each application for visa sponsorship.

Insurance
Students are advised to purchase travel and medical insurance in advance.
