Eligibility

The Institute is open to undergraduate students from any academic discipline who are interested in learning about the recent development of China and Asia on the world stage. Applicants should have completed at least one year of study at their home institution and be proficient in English and computing.

Read the declaration and then complete the on-line application form as a Summer Visiting Student in 2007 for admission to this Summer Institute.

Step 3

Your application will not be completed until you have also paid the application fee online. Check if you have filled in all relevant sections before making payment. Once you have paid the application fee of US$45 by credit card, your application is finalized and you will not be permitted to make any further changes.

Step 4
Print a copy of the on-line application form (please click the sample) for your own record and also submit the print-out with all required supporting documents before deadline to complete the application procedures:
a)
Send the print-out and supporting documents to the Faculty of Social Sciences, The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam Road, Hong Kong. Quote on envelope the reference: [HKU Summer Institute 2007: Asia as the Global Future].
b)
Deadline for application: May 11, 2007 (Late application will be considered only if places are available)

Step 5

An e-mail acknowledgement for the on-line application will be sent to you and you can retrieve the filled on-line application form via the link provided in the e-mail in the event that you forget to print it out during the on-line registration.

Step 6

Offer of admission will be sent to successful applicants in May 2007.
