Credit Transfer
Credits will be awarded to those who have successfully completed the programme.  Most universities and colleges around the world recognise and accept grades and credits from the University of Hong Kong (HKU).  However, students should confirm with their home university as to whether it will accept credits from HKU before they apply.

Assessment details

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided from June 22 to July 21, 2008 (29 nights).  Students will be assigned student dormitories at the Universities of Hong Kong and accommodations in Macau, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Seoul.  At HKU, all rooms are air-conditioned and well-furnished.  Each floor has its own pantry and is equipped with basic cooking facilities. 

Due to limited number of hall places, the Faculty of Social Sciences will try its best to facilitate those students who wish to extend their hall stay and the request letter should reach at the Faculty Office before May 15, 2008.


Visa Application

All non-local students are required to obtain a student visa to Hong Kong and /or tourist visas to Mainland China, Macau, and Korea.  Students from overseas can choose to lodge their applications for Hong Kong Student Visa and Chinese Tourist Visa at least two months in advance via the local Chinese Embassy or via the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) of HKU [3/F, Meng Wah Complex, The University of Hong Kong (phone: 2859 2305; Email: cedars@hku.hk)].  For travel visa to Korea, please arrange with reference to your local Korean Embassy.  All applicants should name CEDARS of HKU as the visa sponsor.  A cost recovery fee will be  charged for each application of visa sponsorship.

Insurance
Students are advised to purchase travel and medical insurance in advance.
