Fees & Costs

During their time in Japan, students pay their regular tuition fees to the University of Hong Kong; no tuition fees are to be paid to the host university. However, students are responsible for their own living expenses. The host universities will make every effort to place students in their residence halls and, if necessary, will assist students in finding off-campus accommodation. There is financial assistance available from the University of Hong Kong, the host universities, and some external sources. However, as this assistance is limited, and is offered on a competitive basis, students interested in exchange must be prepared to cover these expenses themselves. Please see Scholarships for more information.
