- To enhance and extend human health span and improve the quality of life in the aging population through excellence in biomedical research, by providing a stimulating and collegial environment, for a comprehensive
and multi-disciplinary effort to aging related research
- To develop novel therapeutic and diagnostic approaches for promotion of healthy aging, through synergistic interaction and inter-laboratory/department/faculty collaboration
- To offer excellent training opportunities and
post-graduate education in both laboratory and clinical
medicine for research on aging related diseases

Indeed, the Centre has already established within the Faculty, and through collaboration with International and Mainland China partners, a strong scientific platform
extending from basic to preclinical and translational research in the above areas.
