Advice To Patients Referred to Hospital Authority(HA)/Public Specialist Clinics

When you attend the specialist you should present the referral letter from your UHS referring doctor and request a written reply at the end of the consultation to return to your doctor.

  1. Any investigation and X-ray advised by the specialists should be arranged by the specialist at the public clinic.
  2. Prescription from public specialist clinics will not be dispensed at UHS, since the consultation fees are inclusive of medication and investigation.
  3. You may claim reimbursement of your consultation fees by filling in the appropriate form obtainable from UHS and submitting it to University Health Service within 3 months of the procedure.
