Group Project: Exploring GIS on the Internet

  This group project attempts to acquaint students with information search methods on the Internet and to explore GIS application and research activities world wide.

  In a group of four, you should decide on the topic of your project. You may choose ONE of the followings as your project title:

  Document your search method and report your search result with reference to the questions listed under the respective topics.

Deadline: 7 April, 1997 (Monday)

Grading: Total marks 2000 (all questions bear equal marks)

Submission: Each group will submit a joint project report. All completed project reports must be labelled with student IDs and names. The project reports are to be deposited in the mail boxes of the assistants (which are situated beside HC301, the Geography and Geology Department Office).

Penality: 10% of the practical score per school day beyond the due date.
