General Education

The University of Hong Kong established the General Education Unit in 1995 as a major effort to provide whole-person education to all students of the University. The offerings comprise of a set of co-curricula courses and experiential learning activities in line with the Vision and Missions of the University. The characteristics of General Education Courses and activities are:

  2. Non-credit bearing programmes for ALL students
  3. Arousing students' intellectual curiosity
  4. Culturally rich
  5. Emphasis on experiential learning

  7. Focusing on students' interests
