Worldwide Student Exchange Programs

The University is committed to developing a global perspective and cross-cultural understanding among its students through a network of reciprocal student exchanges with universities around the world. Each year, over 700 students are sent off to over 150 partner institutions in 20 countries including the Chinese mainland. These students will conduct one-semester or one-year exchange at some of the most prestigious institutions like MIT, Berkeley, Tufts, Oxford, Toronto, New South Wales, Bonn and Waseda, just to name a few. The programs also include summer courses and internships.

Scholarships

HKU offers scholarships, prizes and other academic awards both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level to provide due recognition to registered students of the University who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Residential Halls

At present, only 30% of the student population live in a hall of residence. The provision of residential hall places will offer great opportunities for personal growth.

Fellowships

Visiting fellowships in the Centre of American Studies enable HKU to build up its relationships with major Chinese centers and programs in this area at prestigious institutions including Beijing University, Fudan University and Shanghai International Studies University.
