Brief Biography:

Chan, Ka-Chin graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 1992. He started his career in sales and marketing, and is now holding a management position in a Hong Kong company.

He is a member of HKU Convocation Standing Committee since 2004, serving in Alumni Affairs as well as Convocation e-Voting sub-committee. He is a committee member of Hong Kong University Graduates Association since 1997, helps organizing various activities for the alumni. He is also a member of organizing committee of eHealth Consortium, which is jointly organized by Department of Health, Hospital Authority, Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, The Government of the HKSAR, Internet Professional Association and Hong Kong Society of Medical Informatics, with a vision to bring IT and health care professionals together, to facilitate and promote the use of IT as a complementary tool in the health care industry. He was on the committee to start the HKU/ IBM Notebook Computer Programme in 1998 . He was also a committee member of University-Industry Collaboration Resource Network in 1999. It was established with the aim to enhance interest and promote opportunities for collaboration between the University and Industry on innovation and technology.
