Dr. Choi is a specialist in hydraulic and water quality modelling. He has over fifteen years experience in the environmental assessment for various strategic development and engineering projects in Hong Kong. During the periods he was with EPD and HWR, he had developed and applied the WAHMO suite of models in assessing the impacts upon the water quality due to various proposed developments and sewage disposal schemes, including Urban Area Development Feasibility Study, Port and Airport Development Strategy Study, Metroplan, Sewage Strategy Study and Strategic Sewage Disposal Scheme studies. As an independent consultant, he has a wider exposure to the models developed by different institutions. Besides mathematical modelling, he has engaged in physical hydraulic modelling, watercourse monitoring, oceanographic field data collection and the water quality database management.
