Update on AV/IT facilities in new central classrooms and lecture theatres

Dear Colleagues,
Please note the following update on AV/IT facilities in new central classrooms and lecture theatres in the Centennial Campus and Knowles Building 1/F:
1. You may now bring along your own laptop (running Windows or MacOS) and have the laptop display projected on the projection screen in a new classroom/lecture theatre.
- A spare VGA video interface cable is available for this purpose. Please follow the instructions in the user guide on the teacher's table for connecting your laptop to the projector.
- If your laptop requires a different video interface (mini-DP for a Mac, DP or HDMI), please borrow the required adaptor for connecting to the spare VGA cable in advance from the Learning Environment Services (LES) counter at Knowles Building Room UG-05 or Service Counter 1 on 1/F of the Chi Wah Learning Commons (see floor plan, counter service hours).
2. Microphone with a clip for attaching onto a teacher’s clothes is now provided in Lecture theatres. The same will be provided in classrooms shortly.
3. Please help to conserve energy by switching off the laptop and the control panel system on leaving a classroom/lecture theatre.
