Suspension of HKU Portal services on Sep 8 (Sat) 3-4pm and Internet firewall upgrade on Sep 9 (Sun) 7-7:15am

Dear colleagues and students,
Please note that the following maintenance/upgrade work will be carried out:
(A) maintenance on the database server supporting HKU Portal:
Date: 8 September 2012 (Saturday)
Time: 3pm - 4pm
During the above period, the HKU Portal services will be suspended. Users are advised not to access HKUPortal during the maintenance period.
(B) upgrade of Internet firewalls to improve performance:
Date: 9 September 2012 (Sunday)
Time: 7:00am - 7:15am
During the above period, Internet connection may be interrupted for less than one minute.
If you encounter service problem, please contact ithelp@hku.hk or our helpdesk (Tel: 2859 2480) during office hours; and call our Computer Room (Tel: 2859 2496) after office hours.
