Appeal for Emergency Help in Temporary Accommodation
27 Aug 2012 - 23 Sep 2012
Dear Colleagues.
We are appealing to you for helping our newly arrived non-locals students who cannot be housed at our new Residential Colleges at Lung Wah Street in time due to delay of building work. As you may know, there is a severe shortage of residential places for new non-local students because of the double cohorts this year. The delay in the occupation of some blocks at the new Residential Colleges on Lung Wah Street has posted severe immediate housing problems to them. We need your urgent assistance in dealing with this difficult period!
May I ask for your help by offering a spare room in your home (or an apartment) that you may have to our new non-local students for the first few weeks of the coming Semester (e.g., from late August to early October). By offering or leasing your room, you will not only give the students a unique experience of HKU culture, but also help the students and University tide over a difficult time.
We would appreciate it if you could kindly provide us with the following information by sending a reply to accommodation@cedars.hku.hk at your earliest convenience:
