- A score of 550 or above (paper-based test) or 79-80 or above (internet-based test) in the Test of
English as a Foreign Language *(TOEFL). Applicants who took the TOEFL should request the
Educational Testing Service (ETS) to send an official score report to the University direct. For this
purpose, the TOEFL code of the University is 9671,

period. The University therefore accepts this two-year validity rule in the admission exercise; or
- A minimum overall band of 6 with no subtest lower than 5.5 in the International English Language

Programme
Structure
All courses are offered on a semester basis. Candidates must complete eight courses by selecting two
compulsory foundation courses plus six elective courses, and may select to offer a dissertation in lieu of
two elective courses.

Duration
and Study Load of MBS
The MBS programme is offered on both full-time and part-time basis. It normally extends over one
academic year of full-time study or two academic years of part-time study. Classes will mainly be
scheduled in evening and weekend sessions.
Students are required to take eight courses to complete the whole programme. Therefore, full-time
students normally need to take four courses per semester and, part-time students may need to take two
courses per semester.
Each course usually consists of three consecutive teaching hours per week. The number of teaching
weeks in each semester varies but normally there should be around 10-13 teaching weeks per semester.
