JUPAS stands for "Joint
University Programmes Admissions System". The scheme is for local secondary
school students applying for admission to
-
government-funded full-time or sandwich bachelor's degree programmes offered
by the 8 JUPAS participating institutions;
-
government-funded full-time associate degree programmes offered by CityU;
-
government-funded full-time higher diploma programme offered by HKIEd;
-
government-funded full-time or sandwich higher diploma programmes offered
by PolyU; and
-
non-government-funded full-time bachelor's degree programmes offered by OUHK.
Applicants need to complete only one application form to apply for all
of the above programmes. You should apply through JUPAS if
-
you are a current secondary school student in a local school sitting for
the HKALE (Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination) in 2010 (referred to as
"school applicant"); or
-
you are a "non-school applicant" but are applying for admission on the
strength of local examination results (i.e. Hong Kong Certificate of Education
Examination (HKCEE) and HKALE), and you are not currently enrolled in a
full-time or sandwich bachelor's degree programme offered via JUPAS in one
of the 9 JUPAS participating institutions.
If you are, at the time of application, already enrolled in a full-time
or sandwich bachelor's degree programme in any of the 9 JUPAS participating
institutions, you should apply through the Non-JUPAS
scheme, regardless of whether you are applying on the strength of your
HKALE results.
Starting from the 2006-2007 admissions exercise, HKU
has joined the JUPAS Self Recommendation Scheme. More information is given
here.
Details of the JUPAS scheme can be found in the 2010 JUPAS Guide,
which is obtainable via your school or from the following distribution
