Some Facts and Figures on HKU Early Admissions Scheme

All our 10 faculties are more than prepared to accept high-achieving EAS students. Last year (2003), we admitted 219 students from mainstream local schools through the Early Admissions Scheme (EAS) and EAS students could be found studying in each and every one of our faculties. All 10 "A"s students who applied last year had chosen HKU. The following is a summary on the enrolment figures by HKCEE results for 2003-2004:

Activities Day (March 20, 2004)
Nothing will give you a better picture of HKU than a visit to our campus. All applicants who have applied to HKU through the JUPAS sub-system will be invited to attend a one-day tour on March 20, 2004 (Saturday). Students will have the chance to visit the campus and find out more about our teaching system, degree programmes, hall life and extra-curricular activities. Our Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellors, teachers as well as undergraduate students will be there to share their experiences with you. Admissions interviews will also be held on the same day. Students will be notified of the detailed arrangements by mail or by email.

Parents' Day (March 21, 2004)
Parents play an important role in the university selection process by providing support and guidance to their children. We invite you to come and meet our teachers and students on the Parents' Day on March 21, 2004 (Sunday) to find out more about HKU. Parents will be informed of the programme details through the applicants.
